We understand that making the decision about the next step in a child’s education can be a daunting one for both the child and the family. We aim to support you on this admissions journey and ensure a smooth successful transition for everyone involved. Our first step is inviting everyone that would like to visit Winchmore School to our annual open evening in the Autumn term. In addition we organise tours of the school a few times per year, so please email admissions@winchmore.enfield.sch.uk.
Winchmore School is the school of choice in the local area and continues to be oversubscribed. Each year we receive lots of applications from students in the Enfield borough.
The school is permitted to admit 240 pupils into a year group. Places at Winchmore School are allocated by the London Borough of Enfield Schools Admission Service using particular criteria, i.e. special educational needs, medical reasons, if a brother or sister attends the school and distance from home to school. Therefore any admission queries should be directed to them, rather than contacting the school directly.
In-year admissions are also managed by the London Borough of Enfield Schools Admission Service.
