Winchmore is a large, richly diverse school with a high number of bilingual students. Our curriculum is designed to challenge and support all of our students to ensure that they achieve the best outcomes possible, in terms of academic success, life chances and the development of cultural capital. There is a big emphasis on the teaching of literacy and the development of reading, writing and oracy in order to develop the students’ academic language and to enable them to achieve the best possible results. Our curriculum is broad and varied and we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities and trips which build cultural capital capacity and provide opportunities for our students to grow and to fulfil their potential.
