English Reading TA’s

A volunteering opportunity for students wanting to gain experience with younger children; students work with year 7 and 8 students within their library English Lessons. 

 

Appointed as Teaching Assistants, sixth form students work in collaboration with the class teacher to listen to students reading individually, making observational notes and offering support for younger students to help them improve their reading and comprehension. 

 

English Reading TA’s are required to attend one or two lessons per fortnight, in line with their timetable availability.
